CAMP
One year ago, we got a text message from a friend with a photo of a puppy in a basket that said, “This pup could be yours today!” Immediately, we ran to the local pet store and bought everything we needed for our soon-to-be 8-week-old Mini Goldendoodle, Camp.
As soon as we brought him home, we knew this was the best decision we could have ever made. Camp was full of energy and curiosity as he explored his new home and found his voice. We introduced him to different toys and games to see what he liked best. We learned very quickly that his favorite toys only had a 2-day max shelf life, as he liked to chew A LOT. But to no surprise, the game of fetch with a tennis ball became his absolute favorite.
Over the course of a year, we introduced Camp to new experiences, like socializing with other pups at the farmers market, meeting friends and family, swimming in the pool, and even taught him basic commands. He showed us that he is a very loving, social, and gentle pup. He learned a lot, but we knew we wanted to take his education further and learn even more alongside him, since having an obedient puppy was very important to us.
We wanted a dog training school where we could stay with Camp and learn with him. We were recommended basic obedience training at Sit, Stay, ’N Play from a friend, and we immediately booked his first class. Since day 1, Camp has been very responsive to the new commands and lessons he’s learned in class. Each week, he gets so excited to come back and learn something new (okay, and maybe for the yummy treats too)!
As soon as we get home, we post the weekly printout of the class rubric on our fridge, a daily reminder of new techniques we can teach Camp over the next 7 days. As a family, we learned so many new techniques that help with beginner obedience. Whether that was taking treats on walks, deliberately stopping when Camp pulls on his leash, or even redirecting behavior to make sure it’s an easy win for him, has made all of the difference. Not only is it Camp that was in need of training, but us dog parents too.
We couldn’t be happier with the hands-on attention that Dagan provides during our classes each week. He delivers the lessons in a way that is practical, easy to understand, and most importantly, easy to adopt in our everyday life. One part of his training that we really value is the safe learning environment that the team provides, especially because Camp is a gentle and soft puppy. Who knew that in just six weeks’ time and lots of high-value treats later, we would have the tools to make sure Camp continues to be the most well-behaved pup we always knew he could be?
Hannah - July 2026
Hannah caught her family’s attention at the shelter with her energetic personality, but once outside her crate, they discovered a sweet, engaged, and intelligent dog. After coming home, her playful attitude and many different sides quickly made her a beloved part of the family. At Sit, Stay, ’N Play, Hannah truly came alive, enjoying her time learning and working with Kathy. Today, she loves playtime, training, and showing off the bright personality that made her so special from the start.
Mabel - August 2026
Mabel joined her family as a 3-month-old Border Collie mix, and training began right away. Wanting professional guidance to help her reach her potential, her family turned to Sit, Stay, ’N Play. With Kathy’s support, Mabel quickly made great progress, building skills from impulse control to confidently getting in and out of the car on her own. Her family is proud of how much she has learned and looks forward to continuing her training journey together.
Cooper - May 2026
Cooper came into his mom’s life just a few months after the loss of her beloved black Lab, Lexi, bringing joy, laughter, and a renewed sense of purpose. As her first puppy, Cooper has made every day an adventure, filled with learning, growth, and plenty of memorable moments. Through training at Sit, Stay, ’N Play, they gained confidence together and built a strong foundation for the future. Cooper’s playful personality continues to brighten each day, and their journey together is just getting started.
Nama - June 2026
Nama came into her family’s life unexpectedly after they met the frightened rescue pup through Boost4Paws. What began as a temporary stay quickly became forever when Nama showed her loyal and loving nature. With guidance from Sit, Stay, ’N Play, she grew from a scared pup into a confident, playful, and well-socialized companion. Today, Nama enjoys woodland walks, balancing on logs, watching squirrels and ducks, and relaxing with her family at the end of each adventure.
Penny Lyn - March 2026
Penny Lyn joined her family as a young Sato from Puerto Rico and quickly became a joyful, affectionate part of their home. While sweet and loving, she showed signs of anxiety around new people, sounds, and other dogs. Through training at Sit, Stay, ’N Play, Penny began building focus and confidence while learning key skills like watch, stay, and leave it. With consistent guidance and support, she has grown into a more attentive and responsive companion, and her family is grateful for the progress they’ve made together.
Kuma - April 2026
Kuma joined his family through Big East Akita Rescue and quickly became a beloved companion alongside his sister, Mia. From the very first evaluation at Sit, Stay, ’N Play, his family felt welcomed and supported. Through Beginner Training, Kuma learned to listen, focus, and respond with more confidence, and his family saw a noticeable difference in his behavior at home. They are grateful for the positive experience and the guidance that helped strengthen their bond with him.
Caddis - Jan 2026
When I brought Caddis home, I wanted his training to begin in a positive and supportive way. Puppy Obedience at Sit, Stay, ’N Play gave us exactly that foundation. He learned the basics of listening, following cues, and staying calm in new situations, while I gained the tools and confidence to guide him at home. Most of all, our bond has grown stronger. Caddis now looks to me for direction, and I’m grateful for the strong start we’ve built together.
Cosmia - Feb 2026
Cosmia began training with Coz, her Shiloh Shepherd, after returning from mountain life to the busier pace of suburban living. The transition was difficult, and Coz developed strong reactions to other dogs. Through consistent work at Sit, Stay, ’N Play and support from her veterinarian, Coz gradually learned to stay calmer and focus in new environments. Today she can walk near other dogs, relax in class, and even enjoy outings to places like Lowe’s and the pet store again.
SKYLAR ROSE & LUNA SEA - November 2025
Skylar Rose is a King Charles Spaniel who earned her Star Puppy and Good Citizen certificates and loves agility in the Poconos and South Florida. Luna Sea joined more recently, overcame shyness and leg surgery, and completed Star Puppy. Both dogs and their humans enjoy obedience, agility, and the Sit, Stay, 'N Play staff.
NOVA - December 2025
Nova was adopted from Hope for Hannah Rescue with the goal of becoming a certified therapy dog for a mental health counseling practice. Though initially fearful and reactive, she passed her STAR test and continues progressing through Intermediate classes with encouragement and guidance from the Sit, Stay, ’N Play staff.
Magpie - Sept 2025
Magpie, a five-year-old Aussie-Husky mix, came from Ohio as a puppy and changed his owner’s life. He improved their well-being by teaching routine and patience. They enjoy agility, walks, and hide-and-seek. Through Sit, Stay, ’N Play and trainer Dagan, Magpie learned obedience and calmness—now his best traits shine even brighter.
Enzo - Oct 2025
My partner and I adopted Enzo, a deaf boxer, after seeing him on Facebook. With no training and lots to learn, we enrolled him at Sit, Stay, 'N Play. Kathy’s patient guidance helped him find his place and master hand signals. Now in his intermediate class, he grows more confident each week.
Cosmia - July 2025
Cosmic Forces of Pike, “Coz,” was born December 3rd at 12:32 am and came home to me after showing fearless energy in her puppy test. Raised in Colorado, then living off-grid in Utah for two years, she thrived outdoors but developed reactivity in cities. With training at Sit, Stay, N’ Play, she’s steadily improving and regaining confidence.
Ammo - August 2025
Our journey with Ammo, a 12-year-old Dalmatian mix, began in 2016 after losing our first Dalmatian, Grover. Adopted through Willing Hearts, he thrived in training at Sit, Stay & Play and became a loyal, gentle family dog who loved adventures and walks. In 2024 he was diagnosed with diabetes and later lost his sight, yet he remains resilient, joyful, and deeply loved as he adapts to life.

Yuki and I have trained at Sit, Stay, N’ Play for nearly two years. From a sweet, high-energy Lagotto Romagnolo puppy, he’s grown into a focused, confident dog. With help from Kathy and Lisa, he earned his Star Puppy, CGC, and ATT. Next, we’re excited to explore nose work and keep growing together!

We adopted Cubby, a rambunctious rescue pup, at 12 weeks. Wild and unmanageable at first, he chewed everything, ran off, and ignored commands. Sit, Stay, ’N Play’s patient, adaptable training transformed him into a fun, manageable dog with great skills and reliable recall while still keeping his spirited personality!
Opie - Mar 2025
Thanks to Sit, Stay, 'N Play, Opie went from an anxious, unsocialized pup to a confident, happy dog. With help from Dagan, Kathy, and Dane, he earned his AKC Good Citizen certification and now thrives in Agility. His trust, growth, and joy are the real blue ribbon.
Cali - Apr 2025
Cali, our only keeper from our litters, started training at Sit, Stay ‘N Play at 12 weeks. With guidance from Kathy and later Sara, she rose through CDSP and AKC obedience levels to Utility B, earning 8 titles and 4 High in Trials. Training was a challenge—but above all, Cali is having fun!
Ziggy - Feb 2025
Ziggy began Beginner Obedience at 6 months old and quickly advanced to Intermediate, Rodeo Dog, and Tracking. But Agility became his favorite—where he could play, learn, and bond with us. Thanks to everyone at Sit, Stay, ‘N Play for the support and encouragement!
Louie - Jan 2025
When Louie arrived in 2020, he was a scared puppy with little socialization. After losing my husband, Louie became very dependent on me. Sit, Stay, 'N Play changed everything. With Kathy’s support, Louie gained confidence, accepted others, and now thrives in class and group walks.
Archie - Dec 2024
In June 2022, after a rough start at another school, Archie, my Irish Doodle, and I joined Sit, Stay, 'N Play (SSNP). Archie, a rescue with a tough past, thrived under Dagan and Kathy's guidance. From beginner to advanced classes, he prepared for the AKC Canine Good Citizen test, and SSNP helped me gain confidence to train our new puppy, Luna.
Jessie - Nov 2024
My daughter Aubrey and I had been looking for a dog that could fit into our family of five cats, and raising a puppy seemed like the perfect choice. In July 2022, we brought home Jessie, started training right away, and have since built a special bond through obedience classes, therapy work, and even Rally competitions.

Lena, who came to Stroudsburg from Ardmore, Oklahoma via Hearts and Bones rescue in NYC, has blossomed through classes at Sit, Stay, 'N Play, progressing from Beginner Obedience to Competition Obedience and Agility, earning ribbons, friends, and confidence in a supportive, nurturing environment.
Bella and Charlie - Sept 2024
Our 10-year journey with Sit, Stay 'N Play began with Bella, our Cavalier who thrived in Nosework, earning 47 titles and retiring at 14 as an "Elite" dog with a U.S. record for Cavaliers. After Bella, rescue Charlie gained confidence through agility and Nosework, earning titles and excelling at 13 with his "Turbo Tail."
Woody and Marzi - Aug 2024
Two years ago, we began training our Goldendoodle, Woody, at Sit, Stay, 'N Play to become an autism therapy dog. After Star Puppy and intermediate obedience, Woody moved to Rodeo Dog while our second Goldendoodle, Marzi, started her therapy dog journey. Thanks to Kathy, Lisa, Dagan, and Dane for their invaluable support!
Thor - July 2024
Thor is a 2½-year-old Golden Retriever who loves meeting people, playing, and eating. Sit, Stay, ‘N Play has helped him bond with his human, master obedience, and overcome challenges like loud noises and grates. Now, in intermediate classes with Dane, Thor is working toward becoming a therapy dog to brighten kids’ days.
Chief - June 2024
Chief’s early life was rough—born in a hoarder’s home, sold at four weeks, and passed between owners. We took him in at six weeks, malnourished and unsocialized. After struggles with socialization, progress came with “Sit, Stay, and Play.” Now, despite some challenges, he’s a well-behaved, loving dog.
Nudge, Buggles, Boo, and Pip - May 2024

Kevin & Teagan - Apr 2024
Our Sit, Stay, ‘N Play journey began in 2021 when Teagan’s jumping led us to Agility training with Dane Bragg. Teagan thrived in Advanced Agility, joined by Frank, while Marcus excelled in Rodeo Dog with Kathy Varkados. Even 10-year-old Gretchen found success in Rodeo Dog. The training has strengthened our bond and brought joy to all.
Mufasa - Mar 2024
Our journey with Sit, Stay, 'N Play began when Mufasa was four months old. As a future giant dog, we prioritized training. With Kathy Varkados' guidance, he earned his AKC Star Puppy and Canine Good Citizen titles, later becoming a therapy dog. Kathy's expertise made all the difference in his success.
