All classes are held on consecutive weeks. Classes will meet on the same day and time that you originally scheduled your first visit with us.

Beginner Obedience
In this 6 week session, we work with you and help your dog learn basic manners and commands. Done in a fun environment for both you and your dog.

Puppy Obedience
For this 6 week class, all puppies must be at least nine weeks old, and no more than five months. We will begin working on the basic obedience commands and walking on a leash. This is a great start to having a great older dog.

Intermediate Obedience
Prerequisite for this six week session is Beginner Obedience or instructor approval. We will take what was covered in the Beginner session and work on adding distractions and how to deal with stress. We will also introduce several new commands to keep things fun.

Beyond Beginners
This is an introduction to competition obedience. Each team will work on skills needed to be successful in the ring, and advanced handling. Goals for each team will be set by the trainer to ensure success.

Beyond Beginners 2
This is an advanced competition obedience class. This class is geared toward those teams working on Open, Utility, and higher exercises.

Kids With Their Dog Beginner Obedience
Does your youngster want to do the training? This six week class is for them! We will help your child take the lead in teaching their dog the cues in a kid-friendly atmosphere. Both the parent and the child will be learning side by side to set everyone up in the household for success.

Therapy Certification
This six week session is for those people who are interested in having their dog become a therapy dog.

Stop Jumping
Does your dog think saying hello means jumping up? Do you have an energy bundle on your hands? Or a small dog jumping bean? After this class, four-paws-on-the-floor will be all the rave. Tired of your dog jumping on you? On the counter? On other people? Then sign up for our Stop Jumping micro class to learn some techniques that will help you deter and/or eliminate your dog’s undesirable jumping habits. This is a 30 minute four week class.

Loose-Leash Walking
It’s time to stroll pleasantly with your dog—say goodbye to sore shoulders and embarrassing sled-dog moments. If you would like to put the “pleasure” back into your walks with your dog, then attend our Loose-Leash Walking micro class, where you will learn what you need to do to put an end to pulling once and for all. This is a 30-minute class that meets for four weeks.

Come When Called
Need a little more help having your dog come to you when you call them? This is the class for you. This is a 30 minute/four week class that will focus only on games and strategies to help your dog come when called.

Introductory Agility Session
This is a prerequisite to new agility handlers. This 30 minute session will cover the jumping basics so that you will then be able to move into the Intro to Agility Class.

Introduction to Agility
You must schedule an Introductory Agility Session before joining this class, of have the approval of the trainer.
This is a six week session and is for dogs that are six months or older. We will introduce the mechanics of jumping and the skills they need to learn to have fun in agility.

Advanced Agility
Prerequisite for this class is the completion of Beginner Agility or instructor approval. This six week session will continue to develop handling skills and increased distraction while working your dog on the agility course.

Open Agility
Open Agility Time is a great opportunity to train and practice in a relaxed, friendly environment. This is open practice--no instruction is provided. A different course will be offered each week to challenge novice through advanced handlers and dogs. Run the course or work on just the section or equipment you need more work on--it's up to you. All dogs should have some experience with agility equipment.

Beginner Rally
This fun session is like an obstacle course for your dog. In this six week session, we will work on preparing your dog for a Rally Course. Your dog must have a working knowledge of sit, stay, down, heel and come.

Advanced Rally
We will set up an advanced level rally course and direct you through the different stations you may encounter on a course. Prerequisite would be the Novice Rally or instructor's approval.

Open Rally Run-Thru
There will be Rally-Obedience courses set up. One will be a Novice level and the next will be more advanced. This is a great opportunity to train and practice in a relaxed, friendly environment. This is open practice--no instruction is provided. A different course will be offered each week to challenge novice through advanced handlers and dogs. Run the course or work on just the section or skills you need more work on--it's up to you.

Rodeo Dog
This is a new, all-inclusive titling event for you and your dog. The best part - any dog or handler can do it - NO restrictions! The event is only timed for placements so no time disqualifications and the first level is on leash. We don't care how long it takes your team to finish, we want you and your dog to have FUN!!!!! Accommodations can be made for you or your dog. And if you really like to compete - get ready to get your rodeo on! This will be a unique experience for you and your dog! Beginner Obedience is a prerequisite.

Introduction to Nose Work
Introduce you and your dog to the exciting sport of K9 Nose Work. In this class, your dog will learn “the game:” searching for hidden treats using his/her nose alone. The focus is on simple box drills that allow your dog to develop their natural scenting abilities and build interest, enthusiasm and confidence to work independently.
Focus will be on start line routines while continuing to build on the core goals of independence, hunt drive, confidence, and problem solving. The handler will continue to develop their observation skills. Leash handling skills will be introduced.
Perfect for shy, older and hyper-active dogs needing a job, this class teaches basic dog initiated activities for competitors and non-competitors alike.

Novice Skills
Teams will focus on skills that will prepare them for trialing: start line routine, leash handling, pairing/unpairing; reward delivery, “staying at
source,” and handler mechanics. Exercises will be geared toward strengthening “odor obedience”. Various competition venues will be discussed including understanding trial progression. Skills may vary depending on students’ needs and experience. Due to the importance of the foundational skills introduced in NW Novice Skills, this class is intended to be repeated, as needed. Non- competitors are welcome.

Continuing Skills
Teams will further develop the dog’s motivation to pursue as hides become more complex. Significant challenges will be introduced, such as multiple hides, moving on from found hides, converging odor problems, mixed container types with or without distractions, elevated and inaccessible hides, hide placement problems, blank search areas, etc. Handlers will learn how to assess search areas and how to develop strategy. Skills taught may vary depending on students’ needs and experience. Due to the importance of the foundational skills, This class is intended to be repeated, as needed. Non-competitors are welcome.

Advanced Skills
Teams will explore challenges that arise in advanced searches (suspended hides, close proximity hides, bigger search areas, higher hides, longer searches). Focus will be on developing efficiency, speed and accuracy through timed searches. Handlers will learn how to keep track of search area coverage, how to handle time pressure, and knowing when to call “finish” in an area with an unknown number of hides. Skills taught may vary depending on students’ needs. Non- competitors are welcome.
Mixin' It Up
This fun sampler class is made up of 2 weeks of Beginner Obedience, 2 weeks of Rally-Obedience, and the final 2 weeks will be Rodeo Dog.

Dog Sports Sampler
This is a fun class that will have two weeks of Rally-Obedience, two weeks of Fit Dog instruction, and two weeks for Introduction to Agility. It's a great way to find out what you and your dog would like to play with. It is six weeks of consecutive classes.

Each team will have 10 minutes to work on whatever exercises you would like to.

Fit Dog Course
The American Kennel Club is committed to improving and maintaining the fitness and health of all dogs and their owners.
AKC FIT DOG titles were designed to provide a structured, individualized fitness plan that you and your dog can do together.
This is a six week consecutive class.
There are 3 levels of AKC fitness titles—Bronze (FITB), Silver (FITS), and Gold (FITG). Each title requires a specific number of activity points to be completed, which varies based on title level.
This class is taught by a FIT Dog Instructor, and after completion of the class you will receive a certificate of completion that you can use toward your title, if you decide to earn them.

We will walk one mile that you can use to work toward your AKC FIT DOG title.

Introduction to Odor
This class marks a critical phase of the handler and dog’s nose work development as we return to boxes to introduce dogs to the competition target odors – birch, anise, and clove. At this stage, handlers begin to participate in their dogs' searches in a new way with focus on reward delivery and understanding the stages of odor obedience: recognition, decision, and communication. Scent theory will be introduced. Non competitors are welcome.
